Last week Jennifer scheduled our little one's anatomy appointment for February 2. That's right: Groundhog Day! Either our little one's gender will be revealed, or we'll have six more weeks of winter. We decided we'll go ahead and let the doctors tell us whether we're having a boy or a girl. I completely understand those who want the surprise, but, for me, the due date doesn't need any more suspense than it already has. Also, knowing the gender next month will give us some time to prepare for the birth. After all, if we have a girl, we wouldn't want her going home in one of Kyle's stained light blue onesies. We'll have to buy her a whole new wardrobe. If we have a boy, then it won't matter. He'll just have to get used to sloppy hand-me-downs. Tough luck, kid. That's life.
Of course, many people have been asking us the obvious question: "Do you want a boy or a girl?" To that I give the obvious answer: "Yes." A dog would be nice (and a REAL surprise on delivery day), but we're not allowed to have one in our current apartment.
